Privacy policy

How Between the Sheets handles your personal data. We collect as little as possible and never sell it.

What we collect

Your email and pen name; an optional bio, pronouns and profile links; the content you create (stories, narrations, comments); an age-assurance bracket (never your date of birth); and basic technical data such as your country (from your network) and cookies needed to sign in and gate adult content.

How we use it

To run your account, publish and moderate content, enforce our content policy and age gating, send essential service emails, and keep the platform safe. We do not use your data for advertising profiling.

Legal basis (GDPR)

We process data to perform our contract with you (your account), to comply with legal obligations (age assurance, moderation, takedowns), and on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and operational.

Who we share it with

Only the processors we need to operate: our email provider and, once payments launch, an adult-friendly payment processor and payout provider. They act on our instructions. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. When you delete your account we erase your personal data and content; some records may be retained where the law requires (for example, moderation and transaction records).

Your rights

You can access, export and delete your data at any time from your account settings, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies only — to keep you signed in and to remember that you have confirmed your age. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
